comparatives
más / menos (more / less) for regular comparatives, mejor / peor / mayor / menor for irregulars (better / worse / older-bigger / younger-smaller). Pattern: `más + adj/adv + que` (more X than Y), `tan + adj/adv + como` (as X as Y). Superlative adds the article: `el más alto` (the tallest).
Examples
Es más alto que yo.
→ He is taller than me.
más + adj + que — regular comparative of inequality.
Mi hermano mayor.
→ My older brother.
mayor is the irregular comparative of `grande` for age/rank.
Tan rápido como el viento.
→ As fast as the wind.
tan … como — comparative of equality.
