discourse-markers

además (moreover/also), así (so/thus), también / tampoco (also / neither), incluso (even), casi (almost), sólo / solo (only), aún (still/even — accented = still; unaccented `aun` = even). These connect ideas across clauses; many can stand alone as a one-word reply.

Examples

Además, llovía.
Moreover, it was raining.
además adds information, typically clause-initial.
Yo tampoco.
Me neither.
tampoco — the negative twin of también.
Aún no he comido.
I still haven't eaten.
aún (with accent) = still (temporal); aun (no accent) = even (intensifier).
